Venue Rental

Burlington Masjid makes the tent and the cafeteria available to rent for nikahs, walimas, aqiqahs, community dinners, lectures and similar gatherings. Tell us what you need below and a member of the team will get back to you about availability and cost.

A cleaning deposit is required for every booking. It is paid before the event and returned after the space has been inspected and found clean and undamaged. Any damage to masjid property is charged to the person named on this form, including any amount beyond the deposit.

Rules for using the space

These apply to you and to everyone you invite. Please read them before you agree below — they are what makes the masjid available to everybody.

• No music and no dancing anywhere on masjid property.
• No smoking of any kind — cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes and hookah are all included, indoors and outdoors.
• No alcohol, and all food must be halal. This applies to outside caterers too.
• The masjid stays open for prayer. Your event pauses and stays quiet during the adhan and the salah.
• Modest dress and Islamic etiquette are expected of everyone attending.
• Children must be supervised at all times and are not to be left to roam the building.
• Only the space you booked. The prayer hall, offices, classrooms and any other area stay off limits unless staff say otherwise.
• Nothing that marks the walls. No nails, screws, tape or adhesive on walls, doors or ceilings. Ask us first about decorations.
• No open flame — candles, sparklers, cooking flames and similar are not permitted indoors.
• Leave it as you found it. Rubbish bagged and removed, tables and chairs returned, decorations taken down, by the end time you booked.
• Finish on time. Overrunning may reduce the deposit returned to you.
• You are responsible for your guests, including any damage or injury caused by them.
• The masjid is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, damaged or stolen during your event.

The masjid may decline a request, or end an event in progress, if these rules are not being kept.
